Jefferson, Georgia is a lovely little village situated on the beautiful rolling red clay hills of North Georgia. Jefferson is fast becoming a suburb of the continually expanding metropolis of Atlanta, Georgia. It remains still true to its traditional southern rural roots so important to many of us. Here you still hear the lovely lilting inflection of the soft gentile southern drawl. The quick smile and greeting from strangers you pass. People standing on the sidewalks or in the grocery for long periods of time talking about their families and lives with each other is common. We love our God, our families, our country, and our neighbors. We feast our eyes on the blooming dogwoods in the spring. There is nothing more visually comforting than the streaming moonlight through the pines that are everywhere. Our summers are long, hot and humid.  Our springs gentle and surprising.  Our winters are short, mostly mild with some snow and ice on occasion. Our Indian Summers are the special treat for us all.  Those long gentle warm afternoons in warm moderate temperatures give us time to contemplate our good fortune to live in God's country. These Indian Summers last past Thanksgiving. Some years the leaf change color show that God stages for us rivals anywhere in the world.
