When God created our bodies, He created them to enjoy good health and capable of long life while it carries our soul through this world. While there are diseases related to individual variances in someone’s body, the body that was made for us as a group is perfect. It's not surprising since it was made in His image.

Many of the problems in our health, including diminished longevity, are related to our not eating the foods God created our bodies to ingest. Sort of like putting the wrong gasoline in your car; done long enough it will eventually cause the engine to have problems that could lead to it breaking down. We do a lot of other things to harm our bodies besides eating the wrong foods. These include smoking, drinking to excess, not getting the proper rest and living a much too stressful lifestyle. There are others, but the wrong diet, many times coupled with some or all the others, causes many (most?) of our contemporary health problems.

That is the important question. One of the best ways to tell is if a food causes an inflammatory reaction in the body upon ingestion, it was not intended for our bodies to ingest.

Over time we will develop many symptoms that revolve around inflammation. This list is too long to go into here, but includes obesity, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, asthma, Alzheimer’s disease and many others. I have listed many of these diseases under Therapeutic Diet. Most of these are epidemic here in our contemporary world.

Fortunately, a lot of this information is now available to us. You will find resources to this information. Simply put, if we eat a diet that does not cause our bodies to respond with an inflammatory reaction, we will be healthier, live longer and look younger. It’s a bit more complicated than that, but not much.

First; see your doctor. He can help you and treat the symptoms that have developed. You can assist his treatment by eating a diet that is not inflammatory. You can actually eat a high anti inflammatory diet that has therapeutic benefits. What do you have to lose? You have to eat anyway. The foods that do not cause an inflammatory reaction in the body are very good for you. Following a diet high in omega 3 fatty acids and low in omega 6 fatty acids is very healthy. You will benefit, even if I am wrong. If you do nothing else but eat the foods God designed your body to eat, you will be healthier, live longer, combat other problems in your health, look younger and be more active.

The body is a dynamic organism always striving for its optimum health point. It does this its whole life. That is the way God made our bodies. Let us assist it. Permanent changes in the body many times cannot be reversed, but the body given time and good health will try. By supplying your body with the right foods you will be happier and healthier than if you continued to eat the wrong foods that injure your body. One of the miracles of our bodies that God made for us is it will always try to heal itself. It will do that until our soul no longer needs the body to transport it through this world. It’s never too late to benefit from ingesting food the body can thrive upon.
